Barefoot Needleart invites you to join us at the lovely Camp Gravatt Conference Center in Aiken, South Carolina.  Camp dates are August 14 – 17, 2025. This weekend stitching event will feature a lot of laughs with a stitching themed summer camp feel! This retreat is open to all stitchers and crafters.  Space is limited to 75 attendees.  Nothing is structured except mealtimes.  There will also be a pop-up shop for the weekend with Barefoot Needleart on site.

Lodge - $655.00 Per Person *Double Occupancy is required*

Cottage - $625.00 Per Person *Double Occupancy is required*

 

  • Neat, rustic and clean lodging in either the lodge or cottage
    • The lodge sleeps 2 and each room has its own bathroom
    • The cottage has adjoining rooms, each sleeping 2, with a shared bathroom
    • There is a sink with mirror in the sleeping room, but the shower and toilet facilities are shared in a middle room (jack and jill style)
  • Registration fee also includes 8 meals, all prepared by the fantastic Gravatt Kitchen
    • Thursday - Dinner
    • Friday / Saturday - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
    • Sunday - Breakfast
  • Fun exclusive SWAG items
  • Coffee/Water available all day in the dining hall

Roommate

Barefoot Needleart is not responsible for finding roommates. If you reserve a room and you do not have a roommate, we will try to assist you with locating a roommate.  However, if no roommate can be found, then you will be responsible for the difference in the room.

If you want a single occupancy, due to the amount of space we are allotted you would have to pay for both spots in the lodging room.  This amounts to double the price.

Deposit

non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is due with registration.  Once we receive your registration request, we will invoice you for payment.  This will be due immediately.  If not paid within 7 days, then the invoice will be cancelled and the next person on the list will be invoiced.  We will not be calling for reminders.

Your balance is due June 1, 2025.

I understand that by completing this registration form and making my deposit, I am obligated for the total cost of this event. Also, if, for any reason, I am unable to attend and cannot find someone to assume my reservation, I am financially responsible for the full amount of the balance.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in no earlier than 2:00 PM on the day of arrival, Thursday, August 14, 2025. Check out of rooms by 10:00 AM on Sunday. Check out of the stitching room area by 1:00 PM on day of departure.

Walking Paths

Walking paths are all over the camp so that you can get your daily exercise. Walk by the lake and just lose yourself in your surroundings. Please note that there are paved paths between the buildings, but some are uneven and there will be walking required between buildings for stitching, meals, rooms, etc.  Please take into consideration your ability to walk safely and comfortably short distances on uneven surfaces.

Personal liability waiver and indemnification agreement

Your safety and the security of you and your equipment is taken very seriously, but neither the retreat organizers nor Gravatt Conference Center will be held liable for any personal injury, loss/theft or damage anytime during the retreat. Your attendance constitutes your agreement to indemnify the organizer and Gravatt Conference Center from any claim for injury, loss or damage for any reason. You are responsible for any damage to the retreat center property, facilities, or equipment caused by you through negligence or willful intent.
